I just like fun. I am an architect, a scuba diver, a mechanic, a wood miller, a Real Estate Agent, a Chef, Photographer, and I just like to hear from you.
We figured out that everyone likes pretty things. Trinkets, treasures and, oh, Conch Shells. I am sharing my treasures with you here, now. Beautiful Conch Shells.
…Conch Shell Halves…
In their natural environment they certainly don’t look like this. So, not just a tasteful delicacy, but a beautiful treasure.
Time doesn’t show favorites to anyone. It effortlessly keeps profound perfection as it moves through our universe. Undisrupted by none, from the least to the greatest. Doesn’t everyone wish they could pause a few moments to indulge in the moment?
A friend and neighbor passed away last night and he was not yet 50. Time is so short when you think about it. One day you’re here and the next you’re gone. One day we’ll all have to face the wrecklessness of time. Yes I spelled it wrong, but on purpose. Many times, time, is like a train wreck. Or a car wreck. It is sometimes just a wreck.
In this short page I say:
Take time to be special to someone. It only takes a kind word for many to receive a good feeling from you.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and Season Greetings to everyone.
Here in the Bahamas we don’t exactly feel much cool weather. This past week and last night we had a “cool change”. Brisk winds and a few brief showers has left us with a little wintery blast.
One day I hope all my fans and friends can visit us here on our small little piece of paradise. Spanish Wells is only 2 miles long and 1/2 mile wide but connected to Russells Island which is somewhat bigger, by a small, one lane, bridge. There are many things, though, to do here. If you like nature, we have land nature and water nature. There are many guides to help you choose an adventure. From just a relaxing day at the beach to a nice, scenic drive to see Eleuthera and all it’s nature.
Remember, I’m in the Bahamas, a Great place to visit…

Are we getting Cooler??
Seems as though our Sunny Bahamas may get a cool down this weekend. As we watch and try to keep up with the everchanging weather, it just seems to change again.
This weekend is forecast to be really cool. Maybe in the Sunny 50’s. Although as the cold fronts drift South and East and bring a few clouds in, it still seems to be a Golden Lining at the end of every passing front. Oh yes, it’s still cool, but that freshly warm glow of Sunshine makes everything feel “Bahamery”.(If that’s a word).
If you’ve never witnessed this cool, warm feeling come and visit and feel for yourself. We would love to host you into the Cool Warm and a New Norm,(so to speak).

Sometimes a day or so looks like this…Then, soon after, back to beauty…
Ever wonder why when “goodness” is mentioned we think of ones’ character? Me too. There are so many aspects of things in the world that we can call “good”. In the next few short lines I’m going to carry you to some “good” things that you may have never thought of as being “good”. Along with a few pic’s that I’ve sorted through that actually may or may not look “good” but with explanation, can look “good”.
TASTE
Now that looks good…
Burgers and mangoes. Who would’ve thought to put them on the same plate? But the palette says “yes. oh yes!!”. The flavors are beyond imagination unless you’ve tried this wonderful combination. And yes it is “good”.
Sometimes the water feels warm, sometimes, not so warm. Sometimes it’s actually cold to us Bahamians. Do you think you could pick out which picture has the warmest feeling water? And believe me, it’s not always the weather that determines what the temperature of the water is at any particular time. Although we would and could determine that in the Summer time and on a sunny day the water may be warm. But sometimes you know it depends on the motion and direction of the tide and wind.
Look at the fire. Can you feel the warmth? Or is it “HOT”? Both scenes would be pleasurable and memorable and good in the right setting. Here in the Bahamas a beachside campfire is very relaxing and peaceful. Sometimes even comforting beneath a clear sky, listening to the sounds of the waves quietly rolling in.
A warm campfire by the campsite in the snow can sometimes be very much the same. I guess it depends on the weather for the colder fire. In any event you can “feel”good both of them can’t you? Snow and Fire photo by “Tall Sky Walker”(YouTube)
Look around for things you can describe as “good”. Goodness comes in all forms and in all the senses. Ever hear the phrase “looking good”? Seeing the good is pleasurable too. One patron once told his kitchen staff that “a customer’s perception becomes reality”. Just the look of some delicious foods make you feel good.
Where? In the Bahamas? Don’t fret. Every flower needs a little rain to make the best look ever. Take some time to enjoy the rain.
Just a Beautiful Day!
Sometimes, it’s just a beautiful day here in the Bahamas. Look at that water…glistening clear and mirrorlike. No wonder so many visitors call it paradise. We could spend so much time on where to go and what to do but today we’ll relax in a hammock and watch the seagulls flying by and the occasional fish ripple the water.
